La finalidad del concurso consistía en dotar al
Castillo de Buitrago de Lozoya de una instalación de iluminación artística para
el apoyo lumínico de los eventos que se desarrollan en su patio de armas, así
como la incorporación de un sistema de alumbrado de emergencia para la
evacuación de las 1.700 personas de aforo.
/ The purpose of the contest was to
give the Castle of Buitrago de Lozoya artistic lighting installation lighting
support for events taking place in the courtyard, as well as incorporating a
lighting system for emergency evacuation of 1,700 people capacity.
La iluminación enfatiza el contraste de geometrías
existentes en el Castillo, así como la eficiencia energética de las luminarias
y el uso de iluminación tipo RGB.
The lighting emphasizes the contrast
of existing geometries in the Castle, as well as the energy efficiency of
lighting and the use of type RGB lighting.
Se decide la instalación de un anillo perimetral metálico,
a modo de canaleta, que se apoya en el graderío existente y por el que discurre
la instalación eléctrica que da servicio a los focos instalados en el perímetro
interior del Castillo. Su geometría circular reduce los metros lineales de
cableado al mínimo, y desde el anillo parten las derivaciones individuales a
cada uno de los focos de manera radial.
/ Installing a metal perimeter ring is decided, as a small duct, which is supported by the existing bleachers and in which is running the wiring that serves the lights mounted on the inside perimeter of the castle. Its circular geometry reduces the linear meters of wiring to a minimum, and, the individual leads leave from this ring to each of the lights radially.
La geometría de la canaleta se adecua y enfatiza la
circunferencia existente del graderío del patio de armas, cuya peculiar forma
redonda se debe a la instalación permanente de una plaza de toros para los
festejos municipales en la primera mitad del siglo XX. El elemento auxiliar de
cableado se integra en la propia forma al desarrollar la misma altura que el
primer graderío, finalizando la huella del escalón existente.
/ The geometry of the channel fits and
emphasizes the existing bleachers circumference of the courtyard, whose
peculiar round shape is due to the permanent installation of a bullfighting
ring for the municipal celebrations in the first half of the twentieth century.
The auxiliary element wiring is integrated in its own form to develop the same
level as the first bleachers, finishing the footprint of the existing step.
La chapa perforada de la canaleta de acero cortén
permite la instalación de una tira continua de LED a modo de iluminación
ambiente y de emergencia.
/ The duct is made by perforated sheet
of rusted steel chute, and it allows the installation of a continuous strip of
LED as a lighting and emergency room.
Las cuatro esquinas del Castillo se subrayan por las
columnas de luz instaladas, del mismo material que el propio anillo, y que
aportan unas dimensiones más domésticas a la escala del edificio, cuya altura
se ha distorsionado al perder las crujías intermedias y agrandarse el Patio de
Armas.
The four corners of the Castle are
highlighted by means the installation of light columns, which are made with the same material of the
ring, and which contribute to a more domestic scale of the building dimensions,
whose height has been distorted by losing the intermediate bays and enlarging
the patio Armas.
